I'm Steven Stewart. I live in Edinburgh, and I built Only Edinburgh because most guides to this city are written by people who visited for a weekend.
Only Edinburgh is an independent guide to the city I call home. Every guide is written from first-hand experience: the places I'd send a friend, the times of day I'd actually go, and the tourist traps I'd steer them away from.
How I write the guides
- First-hand only. I only recommend places I've been to myself.
- Nobody pays to be included. If I ever use affiliate links, the page will say so.
- Kept up to date. Guides are checked through the seasons, and each one shows when it was last updated.
Photo walks
Only Edinburgh also runs photo walks with a local photographer: relaxed portrait sessions and small-group walks around the spots in these guides.
